Summer Burger Series - Week 2!
This is a Spinach & Gouda Ground Chicken Burger that was inspired by my meal with a friend who doesn’t like beef burgers. This is the best chicken burger I’ve ever eaten. It is flavorful, moist and just delicious. Write CHICKEN BURGER in the comments below and I will send a 🔗 to your DMs with the recipe.
Directions:
Pre-heat the grill to 425 degrees.
Combine the ground chicken, panko bread crumbs, egg, grated garlic, dried oregano, onion powder, garlic salt, coarse sea salt and fresh cracked pepper in a bowl. Combine well with your hands.
Then add in the fresh, chopped spinach and the shredded cheese. Mix well.
Form burgers into patties. You can use a press or just use your hands. Burgers should be 1/4 or 1/3 lb. for best results and about-1 inch thick. Press your thumb into the middle of each patty to keep it from shrinking.
Place the burgers on the preheated grill for 6 minutes and close the grill. When the time is up, flip the burgers and cook them for another 6 minutes. Check them with a meat thermometer to make sure the internal temperature is 165 degrees F.
Serve the ground chicken burgers on a brioche bun with lettuce, red onion, tomato and mayonnaise or your preferred topping condiment.
